We are traveling in Taormina with friends and wanted to have dinner here at Tischi Toschi because our son and his family ate here and celebrated my son’s birthday a few years ago and the owner made a special dessert for my son to celebrate! The restaurant did not disappoint when my son was there or now! We had the sardines, mushroom salad and pasta dishes which did not disappoint ! We would highly recommend this adorable little hidden gem to everyone visiting this beautiful city! And the traditional music was such a joy!!

A tucked away restaurant filled with tasty, local dishes. The Carob pasta, stewed tuna and eggplant parmigiana were the highlights of the evening. Everything was very fresh and didn’t leave you feeling heavy.

The aubergine caponata alone is worth waking up for and the fennel balls are amazing too. We had a fairly priced super crisp, very tasty bottle of white. The homemade pasta was real good quality, I had it with mushrooms which they could have given a little more of but otherwise I cannot fault anything. Great ambiance and some memorable decorations on the walls. Totally recommended!

Love the food and vibe here. Service superb friendly and I truly love every dish recommended from the girl. I really regret that I do not have time for a second visit, should try out every dish on the menu. Recommend to order the eggplant it’s truly their classic.

Very disappointing experience. The restaurant looks warm, inviting and authentic, and the service were well staffed and professional.

However the food was poor, extremely salty even for someone who overindulges in salt. The pasta was very bad, shocked at the quality as I wasn't expecting it from this establishment, it was undercooked, rubbery and bland. The tomato sauce was overly sweet like it was from a dolmio ready made sauce and the meat was negligible. And the cheese was of poor quality, almost like what I expect British cheddar from LIDL to taste like.

The parmigiana aubergine was okay but again, was riddled with salt.

Paid nearly 80 euros for the punishment

Food was absolutely delicious here. I highly recommend the Pasta Alla Norma. The service was great and loved the ambiance. This place is a bit off the beaten path and when we went it was quiet. After our late dinner we observed the workers having a feast together, so that’s what confirmed to me that was had an authentic Sicilian experience. Noticed though some people tried to wait for a table but were not attended to, so they had left. Recommend just trying to grab their attention as the restaurant spans across the ground floor of the two buildings on either side of the foot path.

This 4 stars is adjusted for all of the other amazing food in Taormina. Tischi Toschi is very nice, but wasn't the best out of the meals we had while in Taormina. However, I would still recommend it to anyone. The staff were very nice and attentive and the food was very good.
