By way of background as a native New York City person I am a bit snobbish when it comes to a slice of pizza. When my wife told me we were going to a pizza place in New Orleans I was very skeptical despite the inclusion of St Pizza on a best of list from the New York times.

We ordered a pepperoni pie and hung out at the sister wine shop next door until we got a text that the pizza was ready. When we opened the box we were blown away by just how good it looked and smelled. The reason I only have a single slice photo to upload is because it was so enticing that we'd finished most of it before we even realized we hadn't taken a single picture. The crust is 10 out of 10 - the right level of thinness on the bottom and the perfect crispiness on the ends. The sauce is plentiful and flavorful with bursts of freshness from the tomatoes. Just the right amount of cheese that the slice doesn't get weighed down. And actual honest to God pepperoni as opposed to the unidentifiable meat circles at most places put on their pies. All this on a perfectly baked pie made for one of the best pizzas I've ever had between New York, Connecticut, and Florence. Highly recommended, eating at the wine shop with a glass of red in hand.

This is the best pizza we had in New Orleans. The crust was crispy, the sauce was rich and the cheese was stretchy. Great foldable slice.

We ordered a whole pie with pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms. It was huge and delicious. You can order slices or a whole pie at the window or you can go behind the velvet curtain to dine in.
If you order to go you can walk around or entertain yourself inside with the fun music while watching the chef roll and toss tge dough! Everyone was very friendly. Limited parking.

We were looking for a good place to get pizza and came across this place. Pretty good pizza. We ordered a whole pie along with one of the mixed drinks. I believe it was frozen margaritas, and we also stopped next door at Patron Saint to enjoy a bottle of wine with the pizza. All together, it was a pretty good experience.

Went to the tavern. 2 seats were available at the bar. No open tables. This was around 530pm on a Saturday. Turn around seems to be about 1 hour per table so you should try to show up on the hour. Bar service was great. Food was amazing. Had the chopped salad, fries, and the sausage pizza. Fries were the best I have had in a while. The salad is expensive, but it is large and has high quality meats and cheeses. Pizza was great and they do a good job with their sausage (soft and flavorful). The whole menu looks great and everything is probably worth a try.

Let me start by saying the food is good! However, for the price you’re paying there are better options.

3 slices, 1 Caesar salad, and a cookie will run you nearly $50. I ordered my food to go. It’s raining so I just kind of grab my food and move along. Come to find out, while driving in the rain, my slices are haphazardly on paper plates shoved in a paper bag.

For $50 for a few slices and a salad I could easily go to paladar or Margot’s for similar if not better pizza and better packaging for to go orders. If St Pizza did anything well, it’s putting its pizza away from the competition for tourists who may not know of the better options available.

And again, this is not a criticism of the pizza. They’re fine and on the better end of good even, but for the price it’s not anything to write home about. And again for the price paid, I frankly don’t care if they use premium ingredients if they aren’t going to put that pricing level of attention in their to-go packaging and service. Feels a bit stingy especially since I was sitting right next to a stack of boxes that could’ve easily held my slices way better than flimsy paper plates in a paper bag that got completely soggy in the rain.

Don’t usually feel compelled to review restaurants but read some of the negative reviews and thought they were a little silly. Got a slice (each) of the tomato and green pies which were both solid. Also got a San Pellegrino. Ran about $15ish. Definitely cooked on the more well done side but not burnt by any means. Staff squeezed fresh lemon juice on the green pie after heating which was an unexpectedly good twist. Certainly ran more expensive than your normal pizza-by-the-slice place, but most pizza-by-the-slice places are not using fennel pollen. Definitely not unreasonable in the grand scheme of things. Have paid a lot more for much worse meals

Chicken Parm was $21 and doesn’t come with pasta . Caesar salad is amazing. The pizza is great but almost 2x more expensive than other great pizza in the city. 95 for pizza, chicken parm and salad . Ouch
